Leo Ragno trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia and teaches Engraving Techniques and Graphic Art at the Brera Academy.
His studies of the human figure are representations of memory, elaborations of recollections. In all its nuances, colour becomes the emotional element that gives the proper warmth to the intimacy of memory.
His figures are painted and then erased, in a continuous process of destruction and construction: “I remove and add, continuously,” he tells us.
The result is a rarefied, silent, evanescent, faded, blurred, and deeply poetic painting.
